Lids, Sleeves & Cup Parts

Paper Cone Cups

A cone cup has no base, so it cannot be put down. That sounds like a flaw and is actually the design intent.

It guarantees the cup is used once and discarded, which is exactly what a water dispenser or a tasting station wants.

Design Your Own

Design Your Paper Cone Cups

Pick a colour, put your name on it, and see how the idea reads before you ask anyone for a price. It is a sketch rather than a manufacturing proof — the real shape is cut from the product you already serve.

Finish

A printed sleeve brands a plain cup you already buy, which is why a single site usually reaches for one before it reaches for a printed cup.

Carry this into the full designer

The full page adds the size, board, print and quantity, then sends the whole specification over in one go. Nothing is committed to at any point.

No Base Means No Abandoned Cups

Flat-bottomed cups at a water cooler get put down, forgotten, and topped up by someone else. Cone cups cannot be, so each one serves one person once.

They also use less material than a flat-bottomed cup of the same capacity and take almost no storage space in a dispenser.

Where Cone Cups Are Used

  • Water dispensers in offices, gyms and public buildings.
  • Tasting stations where each sample is drunk immediately.
  • Events where cups would otherwise accumulate on surfaces.
  • Sports and clinical settings needing single-use discipline.

Getting a Quote

Tell us the volume you pour and whether you need matching lids. We reply with a written specification, the minimum order quantity and the lead time for your job.

Artwork

Cup blanks are a curved fan, so we supply a template to design on. Full file requirements are set out in our artwork guidelines.

Turnaround

Lead times depend on the print method, run length and press schedule, so we confirm yours on the quote rather than publishing a single figure.

Paper Cone Cups: Common Questions

Why would we choose a cup that cannot be put down?

Because it guarantees single use. At a water cooler, flat-bottomed cups get abandoned and reused by other people, which cone cups make impossible.

Do cone cups fit standard dispensers?

They fit cone dispensers, which are a different fitting from flat-bottom cup dispensers. Confirm which you have before ordering, since the two are not interchangeable.

Why would we want a cup that cannot be put down?

Because it guarantees single use. At a water cooler, flat-bottomed cups get abandoned and reused by other people; a cone cannot be.

Do they use less material?

Yes, less than a flat-bottomed cup of the same capacity, and they take almost no storage space in a dispenser tube.

Can these be printed?

They can, though the printable area is small and the cup is used for seconds. A single mark is usually all that pays back.

Are they suitable for hot drinks?

Rarely used for them, because there is nowhere to set the cup down while it cools. Cold water and tasting are the main uses.

Do they suit tasting stations?

Very well, because each sample is drunk immediately and cups cannot accumulate on surfaces waiting to be reused.

What size are cone cups?

Typically small, in the 4 to 7oz range. Tell us your dispenser and we will confirm what fits it.

Do they need a lining?

For water, a light barrier is enough. Tell us if anything other than water goes in them.

Do you supply these in bulk for events?

Yes, and event and sampling use is where the single-use discipline of a cone cup is most useful.

Prefer to Talk It Through?

Sizing questions are usually quicker on the phone, especially if you have the product in front of you.
