Cut the Sleeve to Match How the Wrap Is Cut

A wrap sliced at 45 degrees has a long face and a short face. A sleeve with a matching angled top holds both halves at the right height and leaves the filling on show.

A square sleeve either covers the filling on one side or leaves the other half unsupported. It is the sort of detail that only shows once a chiller cabinet is full of them.

The same logic drives sandwich sleeves cut for a triangular fill, where the diagonal is the whole point of the pack.

Can the sleeve have a window so the filling shows?

Yes, either as an open cut-out or with film behind it. An open cut-out avoids a mixed material but exposes the food, so it suits hot service more than a chilled cabinet.

Do we need to leave room for an allergen label?

If the wrap is sold pre-packed, almost certainly. Tell us the label size at quote stage and we will keep that area clear of artwork rather than having a sticker land on your logo.

Should the sleeve be cut at an angle?

How much room do we need for a label?

Can one sleeve cover several wrap fillings?

Physically yes, if the diameter is similar. Whether you want the same printed sleeve on every filling is a labelling decision rather than a packaging one.

How do we stop the sleeve curling in a chiller?

A laminated or coated board resists it. Light unlaminated stock takes up moisture on one face faster than the other, which is what causes the curl.
