Glaze Bonds to Uncoated Paper

Warm glaze is essentially sugar syrup, and it sticks to an absorbent surface as it cools. Pulling the doughnut out takes the glaze with it.

A coated inner face gives the glaze nothing to grip, and the doughnut comes out intact.

For one doughnut handed over at a counter, sleeves for single doughnuts eaten immediately present it better than a bag.

Sizing for a Half Dozen

Doughnuts are bought in multiples far more often than singly.
A bag for six needs enough width that they sit side by side rather than stacked.
Stacked doughnuts crush the ones underneath, particularly filled ones.
A box is the better answer above six.

Sites selling boxes of twelve should not try to make a bag work for it.
